Private health insurance can increase employee productivity

News

According to a recent Gallup study, only 13% of employees are committed to their professional responsibilities, while the rest show a lower degree of motivation, which is negatively reflected in their work. Generally, a dedicated employee works with passion, strives to achieve the results he wants and feels a real connection to the brand, which generates productivity and profit growth.

On the other hand, demotivated employees are unhappy, monopolizing the attention and the time of their managers with nonexistent problems, negatively influencing the company's activity. They can be recognized through their daily routine: working inefficiently, having a constant state of dissatisfaction and frustration, not paying enough attention to customers or deadlines and looking forward to the next break, thus generating losses and decreasing profits.

In addition, statistics published by Eurostat show that Romania is at the bottom of the European Union top in terms of employment. In this context, increasing employee productivity becomes a constant concern for companies, and one of the most often applied solutions is to create a personalized package of compensation and benefits tailored to their needs and requirements. The main strategy used by managers is to provide private health insurance to the teams they lead in the form of a significant benefit. Thus, the payment of the insurance premium gives employees and their families access to medical services of the highest standards, in clinics and private hospitals in Romania and abroad, including check-ups, investigations, imaging, hospitalization, surgeries and maternity.

Private health insurance plans dedicated to companies can be accessed via MediHelp International and include, among others: maternity insurance, complex investigations, cancer treatments and organ transplantation, dental treatments in case of an accident, emergency medical transfer, evacuation, and repatriation, with beneficiaries having access to over 425,000 healthcare providers around the world. They are deductible up to € 400 / year, both for the employer and for the employee, and if 10 or more employees are included in the plan, pre-existing medical conditions are ensured. says Laura Afrasine, General Manager MediHelp International.

In this context, more and more companies are investing in providing compensation packages and motivating benefits for employees, with the goal of increasing retention rate and productivity at work. This is supported by a recent study by Manpower showing that 52% of employers offer additional benefits and advantages to candidates, 51% invest in the development of the existing staff, and 48% offer larger wage packages.
